Founded in January of 2011, SuccessQuest quickly established itself as a breath of fresh air in the Financial Service Community. Mantra’s, “inspect what you expect” and “if you can’t measure it, you can’t manage it” guide us. Our focus is developing simple technology that creates measurable operational and sales efficiencies - NEW best practices. Our approach, Inside-the-Box Thinking, is doing what we know works, but better and more efficiently.


Founding Partners

Our founders include CEO Nathan Bergeland, a managing and equity partner in 5 established financial services companies, CIO Ray Gauthier, technology executive in one of Canada’s Big-5 banks, and Kirk Lowe, founder of TactiBrand, a leading branding and marketing boutique for financial professionals and institutions since 2000.


NateNathan Bergeland - CEO

Nathan Bergeland has been a leader in the financial services community for over 25 years. Most of his achievements have been building, consulting with and supporting financial institutions (bank and credit unions) and independent advisors. In addition to being the CEO of SuccessQuest, Nathan is also the CEO is US Advisor Network where he manages 75 advisors as a super branch of Securities America. Nathan is very familiar with the challenges financial advisors, institutions and investors face.

Nathan co-founded SuccessQuest in 2010 in an effort to help financial institutions and financial professionals "inspect what they expect". Nathan's view is, "if you can't measure it, you can't manage it."  Instead of looking outside-the-box for new ideas and strategies to help financial institutions and professionals grow, SuccessQuest's founders took a different approach believing that inside-the-box thinking is what is really required to advance the financial services industry. Inside-the-box thinking is really doing what we already know works, but doing it much better and much more efficiently.

SuccessQuest's online tools help financial institutions and financial professionals more effectively manage and track referrals, activity and projects.


Ray Gauthier - Co-Founder

Ray Gauthier is also a co-founder of SuccessQuest. Ray’s formal education was in computer science at the University of Western Ontario.     
Ray has over 20 years of experience in Financial Services taking on progressively senior roles within the industry.  Roles included a variety of accountabilities from overseeing areas such as HR administration, purchasing and the corporate PMO. At one point Ray was responsible for overseeing customer service operations of a team of 600 employees.
With an executive management background in operations and customer service, in both public and private sectors, it seemed almost natural to integrate technology and management principles to build a software company that specializes in helping people grow their businesses.
Ray has two passions, which are helping people be more successful by being more efficient and using technology to do so….any technology.


Kirk Lowe - Co-Founder

Kirk Lowe is the co-founder of SuccessQuest. His primary roles are product development and marketing. Kirk's has successfully branded and marketed some of North America's top professional financial advisors through his consulting firm - TactiBrand. Having worked within the financial services since 1998, Kirk has seen what works and what doesn't. His core philosophy in business is "keep it simple"; successful professionals do a few things really well; they outsource the rest. He also believes receiving referrals from clients and centers of influence built on a compelling story are the most worthwhile tactics to grow and sustain a successful practice.
